tbh....they mentioned she had bald patches, but didn't seem to find hair...so...they possibly should have kept a bit more of an eye on that...I mean, hair doesn't just disappear....

wow, the 'could have died' part of that story would also prompt me to go for a pixie crop, just 'til it grew out. It would help break the habit too.

we just had to crop dd1's hair (still has a bob, but now can't chew/suck) as she had got into the habit of chewing her hair, and since she's ASD, she wasn't going to stop in a hurry (or be able to tell us about any stomach pains!)

One of my DD2's friends aged 4yrs old pulls and chews her hair and is all lopsided at the back.
May be better to cut her hair really short to stop this?
