She must have something on Gordy!

It must be particularly galling for her constituents as I believe she is MP for quite a deprived area with below national average wage employment and highish rate of unemployment.

smellen · 20/05/2009 22:11

That's just what I was thinking? Do you think she knows he wears lady's knickers or something?

Upwind · 20/05/2009 22:12

What of the HM revenue & customs investigation?

I'd love to see the greedy old bag finally doing some community service

little wonder this government's record on housing has been so very dreadful

sazlocks · 20/05/2009 22:13

I was just thinking the same thing watching her on the news. The word seems to be that if she goes then she will bring others down with her.

AnyFucker · 20/05/2009 22:14

it is just a matter of time

hatwoman · 20/05/2009 22:14

oh ssd, dh and I were just discussing her and "smug" and "self-satisfied" came up frequently. she's horrendous.

stroppyknickers · 20/05/2009 22:15

Trouble is, do we actually know precisely what she did? You can claim a certain amount of CGT 'relief' if you live in a house for a while, even if you own two and it is no longer your main residence (but it has been in the past). So, it might be a case of her not actually doing anything wrong, but it being presented as such in the media iyswim?

AnyFucker · 20/05/2009 22:18

bloody hell, stroppyknickers

do you work in the Cabinet ?

Meglet · 20/05/2009 22:18

I really don't want to see another shot of her leaving her house in those bikers leathers either.

For some reason it makes me think of a seedy S+M club. Maybe that's what she's holding everyone to ransom with .

ssd · 20/05/2009 22:20

good one meg

hatwoman · 20/05/2009 22:21

oh the bikers leathers did my head in too. they just looked like another facet of smugness

tiredemma · 20/05/2009 22:22

I cant stand the smug, manic grin.

She makes me shout at my TV

PadDad · 21/05/2009 22:39

Sisters, Sisters!

A little bit of solidarity, please!?

notnowbernard · 21/05/2009 22:42

I think she's a nob, but c'mon, she's as bad as all the others

(Mind you, she did a big undermining job in the Observer about a week before all the expenses shit hit the media, didn't she?)

What about Hoon and the other Cabinet guy who did essentially the same thing?

LupusinaLlamasuit · 21/05/2009 22:48

Yes. I suspect it is because we will shortly find out bigger fish are worse.

tattycoram · 21/05/2009 22:49

PadDad - do you automatically feel solidarity with all men

PadDad · 21/05/2009 23:07

No I don't. I was joking.

Although I do think it's noticeable that she is being pilloried for something that other cabinet ministers also did.

hatwoman · 21/05/2009 23:11

surely any she's pilloried for having an annoying smile? something I get annoyed by in equal measure whether the perpetrator is male or female.

tattycoram · 21/05/2009 23:18

She's being pilloried because she took the piss out of Gordon Brown the week before. If she goes half the cabinet would probably have to follow, there would be no logical defence of them would there

stroppyknickers · 23/05/2009 00:15

LOL anyfucker - I am just a bit wary of getting my facys from the press without reading the small print!

clam · 23/05/2009 14:30

She knows where the bodies are buried, apparently.
