We can't understand this either, edgarcat, as at least five people have told us that they've reviewed the book. Does anyone have any idea how the system works?

Tinker · 27/04/2003 20:38

I definitely reviewed it. Most odd.

You will need to contact Amazon direct and let them know you have confirmation that reviews have been left and they aren't showing.

It may be that their system hasn't updated itself over the weekend although this should not be the case as their systems should be very robust. I also assume the reviews weren't all left late on Friday night or over the weekend.

If I remember rightly you get a confirmation that your review has been logged/received by their system when you do it so they should have it stored on some disc somewhere and just need to upload it onto their website.

After all that ramble, you need to contact them so they can investibgate.

sobernow - that was my thought as well. Used this name which, in hindsight, may have been a pretty dim thing to do.

Meanmum - left my review a weeks ago and I'm sure I got some sort of message, though not an email, that my review had been accepted.

Puzzling.

I remember posting a number of reviews (all bona fide!) for various books I had enjoyed and none of them turned up. I got utterly paranoid (esp. when dh would not stop boasting about how his complete trainspotter review of one of them got a 100% helpful rating ) but it turned out to be because I left my e-mail address out. I did this because I thought it would be displayed. I mailed Amazon about it and they got back to me a day or so later explaining.
Did you all include your e-mail addresses, and were they the same as your e-mail address that you have registered with Amazon for ordering etc? Just a thought.
