Am glad actually that the cinema took this action. Some people regardless of age seem to know all about their "rights" but not their responsibilities.

Gawd love them indeed - eh?. There are rude people of all ages and classes out there in wider society.

Just because they've lived through WW2 does not make them superior in any way to anyone else. Old age does not give you carte blanche to behave as you please with a casual disregard for others. If such a letter was given to teenagers there would likely be less criticism of the cinema's actions.

The banging on the doors bit made me laugh. The oAPs here do that - they are banging ont the bus doors, while the poor driver is inside trying to get his cash sorted and bus number changed. This is before they barge their way to the front with their bus passes and woe betide anyone under the age of 70 who tries to point out that they were in fact before the OAP. They bang ont eh door of our shop at 8.15 wanting us to open, or at 6.05pm wondering why we are shut. Then barge their way to the front of the quue

These are the same people (or generation, not saying this bunch specifically!!) who changed things radically in the 60s, so I am harldy surprised they are acting this way! Pretty typical of the older generation IMO, mainly lovely with a few naughties thrown in
