I am of course totally unimpressed by beauty contests full stop, but seriously, this woman is my height and whan I was anorexic, I was just over 7 stone. I was hospitalised at 7st 4lb.

I saw this and was horrified by her appearance too.

I was a skeletal size 8 (before there were any size 8s in the shops) at that weight, and I am 5ft4.

How could she have been chosen in the first place?

I'm 5 ft 3 and I was a size 4 at 7st. I looked like I had been in a prisoner of war camp. She is scary looking. She has a lovely face but she looks ill, not beautiful.

You are thin and petite, not skeletal like this woman. She is 7" taller.

I am shocked by her hip bones jutting out like that. I suppose it might look worse because of the way she is posing, but she does look so thin.

...though I do imagine it is annoying being constantly accused of having isshoos.

I saw this too, disgusting. The woman looks so ill and it is not attractive, she needs a meal or 10!

In my early 30's i dieted too much

i weighed 7 stone 12 and at 5 foot 8 my periods stopped

I very much doubt her understanding of a "healthy meal" is anywhere near the understanding of a 'normal' healthy person

is not nice, but do look at her legs, she has a bum there and a nice face. When i have seen other people suffering with eating disorders, the face looks guant and top of legs like matches, just my opinion

She may not have an eating disorder and could possibly be that thin, but even so the issue is the fact she was put through to the final.

While women that thin, be it natural or through extreme dieting, are held up as the ideal then young and not so young women are going to continue to have major problems facing up to their normal body shape.

Jajas you have my sympathy. I know how upsetting it is when people make helpful comments on my size (even at my thinnest I'm a size 14 due to very broad shoulders and big norks) and imagine it's no different for the naturally thin.
