David Cameron's reaction to the budget

"The last Labour government gave us the winter of discontent. This Labour government has given us the decade of debt. The last Labour government left the dead unburied. This one leaves the debts unpaid."

What he fails to say is that the financial crises was due in large part to the greedy ingrates in the city and that his family (bunch of stockbrokers)will have financially from the reckless profiteering.

I would have more time for him if he applauded the fact that it was long over due for high earners to pay their fare share of tax (51% of tax on earnings over £150k) instead of the burden being shouldered by those who can least afford it.

Absolutely.

Plus, the UK's levels of debt are still low by international standards. His response was risible IMO.
