Just reading the other Chris Evans thread and wondered why Chris has set up a trust fund for his ex's new baby with her new partner especially as he is from an acting dynasty.

Why not? They appear to be good friends

ShowOfHands · 07/04/2009 18:31

Because they're good friends and he wanted to give a 'gift' presumably.

I think it's nice and a good example of how friendship can continue when a marriage ends.

MuffinBaker · 07/04/2009 18:31

What is the problem?

PortAndLemon · 07/04/2009 18:32

The couples are good friends. It's not unusual for friends of the parents (e.g. godparents) to set up a trust fund for a new baby (and "trust fund" doesn't have to mean oodles of money, just refers to the legal status).

should be in sleb twaddle this

tis twaddle

traceybath · 07/04/2009 18:33

Has he though or is this just dm speculation?

SalBySea · 07/04/2009 18:37

baptism present? You can buy NS&I things for friend's kids. Its not unusual for close family friends, god parents, aunts and uncles etc to buy babies prize bonds so what's the difference / problem here?

and this is news cos...........................

PaulaMummyKnowsBest · 09/04/2009 09:04

maybe he did it because Billie didn't fleece him in the divorce?

They have remained friends so why should he not do it?

Oh dont she look like a young carole mcgiffin!

Judy1234 · 09/04/2009 09:25

She didn't claim a penny from him on their divorce unlike my ex husband on me so may be he just feels quite generous. You tend to benefit in life if you've been good so it may just be an illustration of that

Simplysally · 09/04/2009 09:30

He can set up a trust fund for my daughter if he wants .

They've evidently stayed friends - what's wrong with that?

Ponders · 09/04/2009 09:41

Also he is minted & they probably aren't (or not to nearly the same extent)

I think they are all v nice people & it's very sweet

jesuswhatnext · 09/04/2009 13:19

i'm still good friends with my 1st dh, he would always help my dd (not his) if she needed it, cant see problem myself
