I wonder if "Petal Blossom Rainbow" will turn out to be a tomboy with a name like that

Congrats to them both.

titchy · 03/04/2009 10:45

And all I can think of the name is theh old Boddingtons advert - 'By 'eck you look gorgeous tonight Petal...'

bettany · 03/04/2009 11:41

Congrats to them both and I adore the name Petal.

KimiWantsAnEasterEgg · 03/04/2009 11:55

Congrats to the Olivers, he is a nice lad.

Thunderduck · 03/04/2009 12:17

Congratulations to them. But Petal Blossom Rainbow? Poor kid.

ipanemagirl · 03/04/2009 12:23

congrats and all, but the name... imagine being 19 and being called petal, not nice thought.

clam · 03/04/2009 12:36

Up there with Peaches and Pixie if you ask me.
And there was me thinking the Olivers were down-to-earth, normal types.

ahfeckit · 03/04/2009 15:26

I didn't even know that Jools was preggers again with her 3rd! I need to try and keep up to date! They look very happy. Still think Jamie wants a boy though...

LuluisgoingtobeanAunty · 03/04/2009 15:29

lovely news, although i did snort a teeny bit at petal blossom rainbow.

SoupDreggon · 03/04/2009 15:33

Ahhhh...

And look! Jools is a proper mother with the still pregnant bump having just given birth! Not many celebrities would have posed like that

ilovesprouts · 03/04/2009 15:34

am same as thunder duck

rubyslippers · 03/04/2009 15:35

aww - i love a bundled up newborn

The name Petal goes with their other names thouugh - they have a Daisy and a Poppy don't they, so all flower names

SNOWBall4girlz · 03/04/2009 15:37

how nice
I have four girls three under 7.
congratulations to them its fun !

SNOWBall4girlz · 03/04/2009 15:39

not sure about the name tho

MrsTittleMouse · 03/04/2009 15:41

I'm sure that they love her dearly, and they seem like a very family-oriented couple, but I do so wish that he hadn't gone on about having a boy. Thinking it - well he can really help that, can he? But spreading it all around the papers where his daughters will be able to google? Not on.

schneebly · 03/04/2009 15:43

Congrats to them yes the name is quite frilly and twee I suppose but definitely goes with the other names they already have.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 03/04/2009 15:44

When he went on about having a boy it made me think 'well if you didn't have such old-fashioned ideas about what being a 'girl' has to mean (fluffy wuffy names, pretty dresses all the time etc) then maybe you wouldn't be so bothered'. Ie if he wants a boy so they can do laddish stuff like shooting and fishing and driving together, well maybe a girl would actually like those things too....
