So would you blindly follow your sat nav like this??

stupid stupid stupid

OK, so I trust the sat nav most of the time. But they are machines, they do not have brains, and they are only as good as the info in them - I have come to a dead end where the machine says go straight ahead, but have resisted the temptation to attempt to squeeze my Fiesta through bollards or over someone's garden!

The guy islucky he wasn't seriously injured or killed, or that he didn't run over a walker who wouldn't expect a BMW on the hillside.

"Robert Jones said he trusted his navigational system and continued to follow it when it told him the steep, narrow footpath he was driving on was a road."

He drives a Beemer - need we say more?

Madness.

Surely, like when using any device, you engage brian and use common sense a little bit too.

nancy75 · 25/03/2009 13:28

what a moron, heard this on the radio earlier, surely this man is too stupid to have a driving license?

AMumInScotland · 25/03/2009 13:38

"He has been summonsed to court for driving without due care and attention" - and so he damn well should be!

Gorionine · 25/03/2009 13:40

What a mug!

Housemum · 25/03/2009 14:41

Hula - think DH would be concerned if I engaged brian, he might wonder if he had a rival!

lol housebrain

My typing is rubbish! Maybe I should engage a sell check sometimes

edam · 25/03/2009 17:34

what an idiot! I know Doncaster is flat, but really, very steep hills that end in an inland cliff are hardly uncommon in Yorkshire...
