In reaction to the old adage, ?Children are so honest? we intend to reduce the age of standing for parliament from 21 to 5.

Gwenick · 20/04/2005 11:36

Pram lanes will be created in all shopping centres.

ROFLMAO

SkiBunnyFlummy · 20/04/2005 11:38

Bright pupils will be provided with dimmer switches to prevent them distracting the rest of the class.

The Millennium Bridge will be made wobbly again, by building a pub at either end.

Gwenick · 20/04/2005 11:38

Due to the government?s policy of opening pubs 24
Immigration: everyone wanting to come and live in the UK will be made welcome, so long as they are over the age of 85 and accompanied by both parents.

Gwenick · 20/04/2005 11:40

OMG this is SOOOOO Funny

All WMD?s (weapons of Mass Distraction) will be made highly visible so that we can find them.

bundle · 20/04/2005 11:41

like the 99p coin

Tortington · 20/04/2005 12:11

awww there is no candidate for my area!

this is great
"Our team of experts has decided that Income Tax has not proved popular with the public and will therefore be abolished. It was started in order to finance the Napoleonic war in 1799 and we now believe that the time is right to announce the cessation of hostilities with Napoleon. Some of the money left in the coffers will be used to fill in our part of the Channel Tunnel in case no one has mentioned it to the French. Any remaining money will be strategically placed on a horse at the 3-30 at Haydock Park at odds of at least 12/1 in order to see us through until the next election. Income Tax will be officially replaced by people lending the government a bob or two at the end of the week when we?re a bit skint. "

Mothernature · 20/04/2005 12:17

In future the National Anthem will be ?Bring Me Sunshine? as sung by Morecambe and Wise. It is quicker, more tuneful and people know the words.

JustFlumAgain · 21/04/2005 14:34

if you missed it................

Marina · 21/04/2005 14:36

I think I may have just found my party, some of these suggestions are eminently sensible IMO. Especially Bring Me Sunshine...

JanH · 21/04/2005 16:27

We pledge to fight the general election on an invisible platform so that people cannot see the floors in our policies.

JanH · 21/04/2005 16:28

Any MP whose constituency sells off a school playing field for development will be required to relinquish their own back garden as a replacement sports facility for the school.

Marina · 21/04/2005 16:29

I'll say it again, full of common sense! Why is this excellent document not getting the press exposure it merits...

JoolsToo · 21/04/2005 16:30

sorry Michael I've found a new party

jodee · 21/04/2005 16:44

Darn it ... if I was still living in Croydon I could have voted for the Shadow Minister for Chocolate!

Marina · 21/04/2005 16:47

Sooner or later you were going to regret that relocation...
A bit that they aren't fielding enough candidates to qualify for an election broadcast. Looks like we'll be seeing one from the BNP though

jodee · 21/04/2005 18:30

I'll be with you, Marina. In fact, think the broadcast his going to be shown in the next half hour, according to their website (I didn't spend long there, gave me the shivers).

Twiglett · 21/04/2005 18:35

ahem skibunnyflummy "Would a SAHM with a wee bit of time please find the sight and do a link. "?????

WTF??? you sound like a stone-age DH there

some people might think that people who work outside the home might have more time to post links

right, am getting down from my high horse

good post otherwise though

FLUM · 26/04/2005 14:11

Sorry Twiglett. I will be joining the ranks of SAHM next month and hope to spend most of my time reclining with a G&T and if it ain't like that I will be writing a strongly worded letter to my MP.

logic · 26/04/2005 14:38

We got the loony manifesto from our local candidate through our door this morning. Fantastic. Dh says that our candidate stands on the main road every morning at rush hour waving a giant inflatable banana and wearing a huge hat. I want to vote for him!

DickWhittingtonsCat · 28/04/2005 14:12

I have got a permanent postal vote in case I am out of town on polling day with work, so I have to vote this week. Once upon a time (1997) I was a Labour local election candidate but now I am so fed up that I was going to do a Tory protest vote (it is between Labour and Lib Dem where we live and I feel totally negative about both of them, but for different reasons) but what joy to see a Monster candidate on the ballot paper!!!

FLUM · 29/04/2005 13:51

go looky looky, and laughy laughy
