This is one of the most shocking horrible stories I think I've ever read...

But they are soldiers and Like all soldiers they have to be desensitised in order to kill someone. Its not hard to understand that killing people makes you lose sight of right and wrong - You can't have it both ways.

NotPlayingAnyMore · 20/03/2009 21:00

Exactly, MrsFreud.

Unfortunately I know people (I use the term loosely) currently serving in the army who boast about blowing up civilians of the country they're touring in Needless to say, they're very much ex-friends.
If these shirts were available here, they undoubtedly would be stupid enough to wear them, so while I'm glad to hear that people like herbietea's DH wouldn't, I think too many people kid themselves that this attitude only exists in other countries' armed forces.

tiredsville · 20/03/2009 21:39

How depressing to see such hatred geared towards little children. So glad I gave up my Hass avacados from Waitrose.

MrsFreud · 22/03/2009 20:38

tireds did you read Notplayings last sentence? there's not an unblemished army anywhere in the world, what else should you be banning?

donnie · 23/03/2009 10:37

exactly what one would expect though, from the IDF. Quel surprise.

Haribosmummy · 23/03/2009 10:55

Does this SERIOUSLY happen on a regular basis?

I mean, against children?????????????????

I find that really upsetting.

if you read the Guardian today Haribosmummy it may well answer your question.

mamadiva · 25/03/2009 08:42

What else do you expect from a place where women and children have about as much respect as a shit on the road here.

Soldiers gang up with things like this so if one wears then that little group has to have, my Uncle has been in the army for a LONG time and that's the kind of crap they pull although not that it makes it any better but I have NEVER heard him or any of his buddies saying anything about killing women and children, sadly to them every kill is treated as success because they 'could' have been a terrorist. It's shocking but they are trained to think like this at the end of the day.

It may not be right but then again neither is war.
