I can't think about the story any more tonight. I watched about 10 seconds of the video and it tore my heart too much. My boys are the same age as hers.

i can't believe their father did that to them.

I will get myself together to write an email tomorrow.

Monkeytrousers1 · 11/03/2009 20:33

Just keep this bumped please. Join the facebook group.

I have asked MN to sticky the thread.

BUMP!!!!

Thanks for starting this thread, I done the other one just out of shock so not very informative of me was it

Maybe it should be posted in a different section though as I guess it's right that people do hide the news section...

mamadiva · 11/03/2009 20:47

Wonder if would be better in Charities or something surely no one hides that?!

Dear Ms xxxxx,

Thank you for your recent email about a British national who is currently in detention in the UAE. I am replying as the consular officer in London responsible for the UAE.

Although we cannot comment on cases involving minors, or go into detail because of consular confidentiality, I can confirm that we are aware of the case and please be assured that we are providing consular assistance and are in regular contact with Ms Pearce.

Best wishes,

I can't believe this isn't getting more coverage on the news etc. Bumping!

Bucharest · 13/03/2009 09:12

The FB site only has 128 members too (and 16 of them have been made to join by me lol)

Is there a bigger FB group that I can't find?
(I know FB is hardly likely to change the world, but at least it's a vehicle for spreading the word.)

emsiewill · 13/03/2009 09:26

Have just invited a load of my Facebook friends (including one who lives in Dubai) to join the group.

I hadn't heard anything about this before today.

Absolutely shocking.

emsiewill · 13/03/2009 09:29

Have also mentioned it in my FB status, and will twitter about it now.

wannaBe · 13/03/2009 09:32

there are other threads about this too and it seems that no-one wants to know.
