Just saw this, so so sad.

I wish it would tell you about making it safe, or how to avoid such accidents.

It's a bit pointless otherwise

Ours falls over regularly as my toddler tries to climb over it

It's on the floor anyway.

How heavy are these ones that have killed children?

kerryk · 10/03/2009 14:34

our old widescreen tv was very heavy, dh and my dad struggled to carry it into the house between them. i hate to think what damage that could do.

our new flat screen is big but not as heavy, only problem is that because it is so thin it does not look as secure.

how horrible for the parents of that little girl though

edam · 10/03/2009 18:49

oh, feel so sorry for the family. How horrible.

We have big sticky pads underneath ours, those double sided mega stick ones? They sold them to us with the tv.

mine is bolted to the wall

It is a flat screen and is high enough that they can't put sticky fingers all over the screen!
