Has anyone else read this? My instincts tell me to be totally repulsed yet the way it has been told does sound like it was a fairly harmless, if odd, situation.

Thoughts?

I'm sure there was a thread at the time, I was thnking about this article the other day. I agree with you, she makes it sound like everyone is doing it.

violethill · 08/03/2009 17:58

Yes, there was a thread on this when it came out.
She certainly makes it sound normal, but I can't imagine many families where teenagers would want this sort of relationship. It all sounds so fluffy and romantic quite apart from the physical aspect! Most siblings would be too busy verbally abusing eachother!

Janos · 08/03/2009 18:01

My instinct on reading it is to be quite shocked and revolted. I don't think it's normal at all.

Didn't realise it was such an old article (just checked) - came up on the side tool bar, how odd.

In that case, will have a trawl, got me thinking and intrigued to see what the consensus on it was!

Blee, glad I didn't catch this the first time round...!

She doesn't feel guilty but she ought to.

Monkeytrousers1 · 08/03/2009 21:15

Well first off this is a question on a psych questionnaire t gauge peoples moral compass; second it reads like fantasy, like she's read Flowers in the Attic a few more times than is healthy, and third, if it is true, why should she feel guilty. Why not 'them' or 'him'? But why at all if no harm was done?

TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 08/03/2009 22:22

Why should she feel guilty?? Because it is her writing the article! We don't know what he feels or how he would come across, but if he were to write an article where he makes it sound normal, then people would be saying "why doesn't he feel guilty?"

They/she might not feel like they've done anything wrong but it is illegal and is for a reason! Not every law is there to stop someone from getting hurt.
