Surely this list actually covers basically everywhere in the country aside from Scotland?

All areas that are marginal undesirable areas wil fall the most in percentage terms because they were teh areas that went up the biggest percentage in the boom becuase people were eventually forced to buy there as they were priced out of the better areas.

For example, new build buy-to-let flats in run down former industrial areas are often selling for 60% off the original asking price when they are being repossessed.

trixymalixy · 07/03/2009 14:26

I would include Glasgow as one of the city centres that has a glut of new build flats that nobody wants to buy.

noddyholder · 07/03/2009 14:30

Agree town centre luxury developments are going for half price in a lot of places.Ex local authority as they went silly.Small flats only suitable for singles.

doesn't come anywhere close to where I live!

lalalonglegs · 07/03/2009 14:57

My home looking pretty vulnerable - Wandsworth mentioned in point 6 but will be glad if it means we can trade up. Still ludicrously expensive imo. Not much explanation of arrival at figures other than educated guesswork.

Incidentally got a press release from Savills yesterday predicting falls were almost over...

TheThoughtPolice · 07/03/2009 14:58

Couldn't care less. I'm staying put!

noddyholder · 07/03/2009 14:59

It says they are still rising where we are and its the least likely place to fall

BlameItOnTheBogey · 07/03/2009 14:59

Waaah. I really didn't want to read that. We have just had an offer accepted on one of the places high on that list....

faraday · 07/03/2009 17:32

Gazunder!

no, don't!!

BlameItOnTheBogey · 07/03/2009 18:10

They accepted our first offer which makes me think we are overpaying...
