How very sad. I'm sure they could have found a better way.

Presumably by removing the man (assuming it is a man) that is the threat.

That said I doubt that this incident will have been the worst thing to have happened to them sadly

The man is question must be properly scary if the police and SS felt that this was appropriate.

The poor children. Hopefully their lives will improve.

they're the professionals and they decided it was the best course of action for the safety of all involved.
having removed everyone safely i thik they should be commended.

I agree that they should be commended as it sounds as if all went to plan. Sounds like a very unusual approach though, no doubt all the gory details will emerge in the press.
