... is seriously getting on my nerves.

First she had no money apparently, because of all her credit card debts and her serious spending habit.
This was in last week Sunday Times.

Now this week it's not that she hasn't got any money at all, it's that she's trying to create wealth, and who are those spiteful people who begrudge her that? (See article here

So which is it then?

She also wrote an article a few weeks back about how she couldn't understand how women wouldn't want to combine work and motherhood, after all she manages easily. Oh yeah? Well maybe it's a tad easier for a writer with flexible working hours and enough money to afford a full-time nanny than for some other lesser mortals...

Honestly, she really winds me up!

She really needs to get a grip, imo. Her whiny self-justification is highly unpleasant. Sell a f**king house, woman, and be done with it.

Alice Douglas in the home section irritates me. Up to her eyes in debt but writes about delebrating new floor being laid by buying me pairt of Manolo's...or spending £3K in Whistles.

,,,and she thinks her builders all fancy her.

What I'd like to know is how the hell do these women get their own Times columns? They are no more interesting than me, and no-one offers me a bloody column.

snafu · 10/04/2005 21:35

Try getting your tits out on the evening news, paolosgirl. It worked for Rosie.

paolosgirl · 10/04/2005 21:40

Immediately rooting about in my A cup for my tits. Ah, found them

What's worse is RM has her husband defending her in an article in today's Independent on Sunday. Can't find it online, so can't do a link.

Moomin · 10/04/2005 22:33

oo I read that too Freckle. Had the misfortune to also read the original Millard whinge last Sunday which was a ludicrous, patronising piece of drivel. The husband wrote today that the good old Daily Mail has been sniffing round all week after more details about their terribly impoverished life. Don't know why she didn't give them an interview - she and the DM are a match made in heaven.

iota · 10/04/2005 22:36

I thought she was self-explanatory this week - she needed the work, so she wrote one contraversial piece last weeek, got loads of emails etc. so managed to get paid to write another article on the subject this week.

This is how she's going to get out of debt

CarrieG · 10/04/2005 23:05

Don't see what the problem is. She's a newspaper columnist, she wrote a column highlighting a common problem & including some personal, anecdotal material (which might or might not even be true...).

She's not on oath! & we obviously all found it interesting/entertaining/both, or we wouldn't've read any of it...good luck to her.

TwoIfBySea · 12/04/2005 21:14

She was on The Wright Stuff the other day whinging about how poor she is. Yet she has houses worth £2.5mill.

Wish I was that poor.

She should try life on the other side of the fence, would certainly shut her up. I found her incredibly smug and patronising.

weesaidie · 12/04/2005 21:33

I heard about this (and saw her on the Wright Stuff) and I think it is typical 'I have no real problems so I shall find one and moan about it!'

Very annoying, I may have had some sympathy if it wasn't for the 5 properties she owns! Sell a couple woman! And try cutting up your credit cards perhaps...?

I think there are a lot worse common problems that should be addressed...
