Head resigns following change to multi-faith assemblies

Council leader says resignation was for personal reasons & nothing to do with the assemblies.

How did it get into the news then?

I would ask the same question Ponders. Why, if the assemblies issue is not relevant to the head's resignation, are the 2 mentioned in relation to one another in the same article?
Personally I don't believe in seperating children for religous reasons in a multi-faith school. Hardly promotes understanding, tolerance and respect for what other's believe in.
