Anyone else really hacked off by Paxman on Newsnight?

Particularly the silly questions asked of the poor weather guy and the patronising way he talked about that woman who had the octuplets, especially when it seems that she is mentally ill. He is so full of himself that he's becoming a really complacent interviewer.

Not hacked off with him on Newsnight (don't watch it) but am with him on University Challenge. SO vile to some of the contestants (esp. the non-Oxbridge ones, can hardly contain himself).

I thought he was on form last night, especially towards the xenophobic UKIP leader who refused to answer his questions about what he would do with the 1.5 million British works working in Europe should he have his way in Europe.

I cringed when he asked the intellectually inferior union official about the tactics used to cause the wildcat strikes. The official claimed not to know anything about the tactics but admitted he had been on strike too and then Paxman pounced and said that the union had claimed not to be involved which left union official stumped. When he asked the dopey official if he was also against workers being brought in from Isle of Wight or Scotland he said yes because the jobs should only go to the people in the area. Errr, nope, jobs go to the best candidates. Period.

It was classic,sneering, supercilious, dismissive Paxman that I love!
