You do? You don't think it was too fluffy and girly? Mmmm. (I prefer your old one too, so ner )

MauriceDancer · 30/01/2009 22:20

actually it was the fluffy i liked about it, twink. it was so garish it worked.

you know, i only changed to play with sgb and she hasn't noticed me yet.

RipVanTwinklemegan · 30/01/2009 22:30

Garish! Well we'll see - as you can tell I didn't like not being recognised. Just concerned about building up a bit too much posting history that says a lot about me.

i thought you were a namechanger as well, lenin.

RipVanTwinklemegan · 30/01/2009 22:40

That's praise indeed Lenin. If you sound like an old timer you must be talking sense (or at least the same level of drivel as the rest of us).

Do I know you Horton?

There are indeed some lovely posters on the Guardian Talk Boards and I've "met" some lovely people there.

But broadly speaking, you do get a lot more unpleasantness there than here speaking from personal experience.

Janos · 31/01/2009 08:36

Yes, I'd recommend Horton's Guardian thread too.

(Think I probably do know you Horton, but under another "name").

Lulumama · 31/01/2009 08:41

surely the whole point of being a middle class, north london grauniad reader is that you can happily subscribe to the benign neglect school of parenting.... surely everyone lets their pets be in charge of their children's personal hygiene?

at those behind the times grauniad readers.

they are probably still thinking GF is the guru du jour

ssd · 31/01/2009 12:04

The 'terrible twos' don't last very long if the toddler in question is made to realise that bad behaviour has unpleasant consequences,

from one of the comments!

thats cheered me up, I needed a laugh

Horton · 31/01/2009 13:22

You do know me, Janos, sorry, I should have said. You can probably guess who I am if you look at the bald baby on my profile!

Sorry I'm late. My broadband has been down and only just got fixed.

I realise you've all gone but I don't care - I've just popped in for a preen because I was so delighted to be quoted and I can't tell anyone in RL!

Like notnowbernard I don't want to reveal my new MN name to DH.

As you were.

Janos · 02/02/2009 16:45

Hi Horton nice to "see" you again!

I'm very jealous of everyone who has a quote - being a frustrated writer myself!

KarlWrenbury · 02/02/2009 16:47

theyt liked MY COMMENT
yours were all CACK
"This article especially and a good part of the posts made are complete guff (apart from the bit about a quiet toddler being a danger-seeking missile, very well put) and encourages irresponsible parenting."
