its not something i think about that much tbh. i worked in central london during some of the IRA campaigns, wasnt unusual for us to be evacuated several times a day, its no worse now than it was then.

noonki · 16/01/2009 21:34

I don't think about them much unless I am unfortuate to
a) be in the trafford centre
b) be stuck at the lights at Old trafford.

I live between the two and if they do manchester I always assume it will one of those two places.

themoon66 · 16/01/2009 21:45

I live in rural Lincolnshire and the risk seems another world away here.

twinsetandpearls · 16/01/2009 21:48

Not something I ever think about.

Khara · 16/01/2009 21:51

Ditto noonki.

I had a season ticket at Old Trafford until a couple of years ago & went to a game that was supposed to be being targetted by suicide bombers - there were arrests in the week running up to it. The security before the game was amazing. (I used to go around the back way into the ground because I figured it was slightly safer than going by the forecourt where there was more of a crowd.) And I am a little wary in the Trafford Centre on the few occasions I go - especially if I've got the dcs with me.

No. because if we all become worried about it.. then they have already won.
If I or my family ever get caught up in one of these attacks.. then there won't be a lot I could do about it. therefore I do not worry at all about it.

ummadam · 18/01/2009 14:13

Always a little worried - for some reason, especially now we have DS.

Then I remind myself that I've got more chance of being injured in an islamophobic attack and get even more depressed....... terrorists on one side and bigots on the other!

I can't get rid of a niggling uneasy feeling that some nutter might do something to Obama.

YaddaYaddaYadda · 18/01/2009 18:06

yes! I try not to think about it too much but I work in central London and there have been police with dogs at the stations again since the start of the war in Gaza. I do know a couple of people who won't use the tube because they feel it's only a matter of time till the next attack....

LostVagueness · 25/01/2009 23:02

Gee I don't know. I guess I should be scared of cancer, car crashes, food poisoning, the NHS, war, famine, tidal waves, meteors.......

Something is gonna get you....lock the doors and buy in lads of tinned food!

LOL
