Just caught the end of NMTB on BBC2 and there was some kind of tribute.

If it's a repeat, which I think it is, it's a joke. Weird I know (what I just said and the joke).

He is not dead. At the end of the show it didn't have his life span as some said, it said, "good presenter 2006-2008" which played on the fact they stated a comment made to him in public destroyed his confidence. It was a joke. He is starting a stand up tour, so maybe he has left the show and this joke was their way of seeing him off.

I copied and pasted the above from a google search which threw up yahoo answers. Phew, you had me going there for a minute!

They're taking the piss as an end of series thing.

On a similar note a friend of mine told me the Proclaimers were dead, I was really upset and believed this for 24 hours, until he came clean...
