bbc london linklooks like Haringey Council leader, George Meehan, and cabinet member for children and young people, Liz Santry, have resigned over the Baby P case.

ScottishMummy · 01/12/2008 14:21

i dont think there is any satisfactory resolution in this debacle.other than hopefully learn from dreadful mistakes.

izyboy · 01/12/2008 16:29

I second your opinion ScottishMummy.

Sharon Smith should have had the decency to resign over this long ago. Hopefully, now she has been sacked, she will not pocket a massive pay out.

On the Sky News website they say

""There are 121 social workers in Haringey and 191 children on the child protection register"

I'm no social worker, obviously, but surely that's not a huge workload when proportioned out amongst 121 social workers.

children on the child protection register are a very small proportion of the work of social workers.
