"A quantity of wedding rings"?

Why does she want this stuff? It's hardly going to be family heirlooms, is it?

Ugh. This comes straight out of Edgar Allan Poe.

Tinker · 18/03/2005 15:51

Sure I read somewhere that there was some suggestion that she knew what he was doing. Why on earth would she want them? She could rationalise other jewellery away but wedding rings?

expatinscotland · 18/03/2005 15:52

That's so disgusting!

DillyDally · 18/03/2005 15:53

How Papa lazarou of her

noddyholder · 18/03/2005 15:57

I saw this on the news and just don't get it.Does it mean hais stash of stuff that he stole from patients or was it left to him in wills etc Either way very odd

Tinker · 18/03/2005 15:59

But you wouldn't leave stuff to your doctor would you? One or two patients, maybe? But not £10,000 worth.

To sell, presumably. Agree with Alux, there is something hideously creepy about this. So the deceased patients' families have to provide receipts/photos of their parents' wedding rings, do they? Why isn't Primrose Shipman required to prove they're hers in similar fashion?

TinyGang · 18/03/2005 16:13

She is SO weird. Apparantly she has never really accepted any of the things that he was accused of doing.

People who stand so stoically by a murderer of that magnitude totally confound me. Wasn't the Yorkshire Ripper's wife still visiting him in prison sometimes? How strange.
