What is it with Parliament wanting to show they're with the culture? [eyeroll] Leave the TV on the box!

I can understand why they had to get involved with The BBC, they're paying them! But this is ridiculous, even if it was on The BBC.

As an aside to another point he was making because the contestant in question is one of his constituents.
I believe he was making a point that it is not really within Parliaments remit to comment on TV editorial decisions even if in this case (the X factor) he would want to.
