TBH, the Guardian has a point. When Gordon Brown took over as PM we didn't see Newsnight asking Take That for their opinion on it, did we?

Oh please tell me they didn't really have Dizzee Rascal on a Newsnight debate about Barrack Obama. ROFPMSL!

Wankers!

Ir reminds me of some creepy old uncle at a wedding trying to be down with the young ones.

'Hey cats. How's it hanging man? Y'Ereee?'

Oh how mortifying. How risible. I wish I'd seen it.

Do people really think the BBC should stop experimenting and trying new things? Should it just stick with the suited and booted old commentators and presenters of days of old? Never take any risks? Maybe this particular example looked wrong, but it could have been an interesting angle. They took a chance.

Part fo the reason we pay the license fee is to nurture new creative talent in the UK. That is an important part of the BBC's remit. It gives chances to new script writers, directors, producers, actors. Sometimes it will get it wrong, many times it will get it right. Give the Beeb a break.

artichokes I wouldn't mind it they did it well but this Dizzee Rascal fiasco is just another embarrassing example of the same old stuffy suirted men behind the scenes attempting crass and increasingly desperate gimmicks to attract younger, less licence fee tolerating audiences.

I'm biased though having worked for the BBC for the past 17 years and seen how it treats people and what it is doing.

It wouldn't have been a paxo idea though would it? it would have been some hot cool producer trying to make his or her mark.

I didn't think there were that many stuffy suited men behind the scenes at Newsnight.

Ha yes I saw that innit...
