Just been reading this about the First Lady Elect. The thing that struck me is that her father worked despite suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, she went to public school (state) and then on to Princeton and then Harvard (Ivy league). After a career in Law she chose to become a public servant. Despite all that, she sees herself first and foremost as a mother to her two daughters.

I can't wait to read her autobiography.

she is one amazing woman - got a great sense of humour too (I say it like I know her personally!) Have a look on You tube at her recent appearance on the Ellen show - fab!

[lots of people who have MS work. MS is hugely hugely varied (there are in fact 3 types of MS). Some people are unable to walk and barely able to get out of bed; some are barely affected. some people go from one to the other and back again, in a rather cruel ping pong like pattern that's difficult for others to understand.]

I admire her so much. She is amazing and she makes the Obama 'package' much more rounded imo. I also think she will help to keep his feet on the ground.
