The student who has just won £7million

If I was her mother there would be no way I would have let her opt for publicity. She will have people after her on her gap year and people at Uni just wanting to be friends because she is loaded. I feel sorry for her boyfriend too. Only been together a few months and she has already been asked if he has proposed. She said not yet.

hmm agree with you there.

I know £7mill is an amazing amount of money but I felt it was a shame she wasn't a little bit older. I bet she will have lots of "friends" from now on.

Much better, if say, a 35 year old mother of two won.

I don't understand why anyone opts for publicity in these cases. It just makes you a target for scammers, con artists and freeloaders, as well as charities and people who are down and out.

fuckers - i want that money

is there no justice in the world?

I can't believe she wants a ford ka! C'mon, an aston, surely!

LoveMyGirls · 01/10/2008 13:30

What would you do with it?

MamaG · 01/10/2008 13:32

I jealously muttered to DH that it will ruin her life. She won't appreciate it, not like I would!

Ah, I saw her on the news yesterday - thought she seemed awfully sweet and much more level-headed than I'd have been at her age. Or at my age, come to think of it.
