XL airways/holidays gone bust!

I'm trully sorry to anybody who has booked a flight or holiday through these or their subsidiaries.

We flew back to Cyprus with them a couple of weeks ago!! I do feel for those affected

My Mums friend is out in America,supposed to come back this week,and now can't get a flight until 3rd October,and only 1st class is available!

Oh blimey Sawyer that's rubbish. Will cost a fortune!

We were due to fly with xl tomorrow to turkey for honeymoon sob sob now need a very last minute holiday

We were supposed to be off to Turkey next year with XL. Just hope we can get our money back- have already raised it with the credit card company!

oh dear, we gave our neighbours thomas cook holiday vouchers for their honeymoon-they might not get one now

but those poor, poor people stuck abroad

We flew with XL to Florida a couple of months ago - planes and service truely awful. must be terrible for anyone booked to go away / be stranded - raspberrytart i really hope you manage to get your honeymoon sorted

Yes I know McDreamy.We can't believe it either,but she is desperate to get home,so she's taken the only thing available.

The worst part is she has her downs syndrome son with her who has been traumatised by a dental experience out there, and is very stressed by it all and just wants to get home to his familiar surroundings.

We are hoping to book flights with Easyjet next April - I am just waiting for them to go bust next.

No, Alitalia will be next. They were given an extension until today to get their buyer sorted tho' the strike earlie this week that grounded 50 flights will not have helped that.

Thanks Fimbo seem to have had the phone glued to my ear all day but at least we are going. some people have booked direct with xl and may not be as lucky.
