Doesn't seem like it, unfortunately. BBc news are saying 150+ dead, only 20 survivors.

mumonthenet · 20/08/2008 22:02

Very very sad. Those poor people.

Thinking of their families too.

BBC article here: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7573674.stm 153 are dead out of 172. Dreadful.

dinny · 21/08/2008 11:53

just AWFUL, those poor poor people, what a dreadful way to die

I just can't bear flying, I know statistically it is safest form of transport but if something goes wrong it is usually catastrophic. so sad

forevercleaning · 21/08/2008 11:56

breaks my heart, all those children and babies - setting off on holiday.

forevercleaning · 21/08/2008 12:04

just heard on the news that the 2 babies on board survived along with 3 children.

dinny · 21/08/2008 12:12

wow, how amazing they survived

gemmiegoatlegs · 21/08/2008 12:16

i am terrified of flying already and am off on my flight to Italy on hols on Monday. I know it is safer than crossing the road etc, but it seems such a horrible way to die

dinny · 21/08/2008 12:19

I hadn't flown for 6 years, gemmiegoatlegs, till I went to Greece at start of summer, was as terrifying as ever!

can you get temazepam or something to take?

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 21/08/2008 13:28

I was reading this in the paper at work while waiting in reception for an appointment. Not sure what paper it was(not gutter press as at work!) but it was so sad to read.

Poor souls

jojosmaman · 21/08/2008 13:32

I can't stop thinking about this, those poor people

MABS · 21/08/2008 13:40

i flew on that very plane with the family ,same route,in Oct 06...very sobering. But it's still the safest way to travel and i do fly at lot.
