But if you adopt a child, you don't expect the natural parents to keep sending you money, so it doesn't appear to be a bona fide adoption. All very bizarre.

Weren't they a bit old for adoption? Certainly one of them will have been 16 at the time...I don't understand!

It looks as though it was a sneaky way to get American citizenship for the 2 boys and to give them more opportunities for sports.

Very odd arrangement though.
