@blankittyblank she is but I think wow how brave she’s literally agreed with everything she did but is sticking to that not being consensual despite having to reveal so much about her life/relationship etc.

Yeah true. God I hope so. These women were amazing. Also, I don’t know which woman it was, but when one of them was being cross examined by Ian winter, and he was saying “why didn’t you report it at the time? It’s because it didn’t happen isn’t it?” And she was like - “this is why! The way you’re taking to me now is why”

Exactly!!!

All of them are so brave. They’ve done all they could. It’s in the hands of the jury now. The judge will remind them all of both sides in his summing up
in a balanced, measured way.

Here’s hoping Winter alienated some of the jurors by going as far as he did in the victim blaming.

i have been following and I’m afraid I have no faith that he will be convicted. I hope I’m wrong

I think he will walk too.

TheFriendlyCabbage · 02/11/2026 18:31

Just saw on Instagram RB and Laura leaving the court, getting onto a car, with his entourage in front. He was the last one to get in, walking deliberately slow. However, he said to someone called Sarah - same seats as before Sarah, same seats as before. Very controlling. Not sure who Sarah is?! And his voice was a normal deadpan one, none of that cod cockney he puts on.

EatingSky · 02/11/2026 18:37

from evidence I have seen on the threads from journalists in the case, the anal rape seems the most likely for them to find him guilty in terms of corroborating evidence. The 1999 one, although I think he did it (I think he did all he is accused of any more), not sure a jury will convict. And the others are very much her word against his...again, her word seems much more reliable but there are only 3 women on the jury...

Also that he repeatedly brought up Brand won the accolade of The Sun's shagger of the year three years in a row.

If I were a jury member that fact alone would not be endearing him to me.

Dexternight · 02/11/2026 18:40

I don't agree with the argument used by Russell Brand's defence that the events happened a long time ago, as though the passage of time somehow diminishes their significance.
I was a juror in a historical sexual offence trial involving events from the late 1970s/early 1980s. There was no forensic evidence, so judge instructed us to carefully assess the complainants' accounts. He directed to carefully listen and watch the body language.
I still remember watching them give evidence: the trembling, visible distress and sweat patches on their clothing. It was genuinely upsetting and has stayed with me.
Our jury, found the defendant guilty on two counts and not guilty on another. The defendant took his own life before sentencing.
I found time does not diminish the trauma.

Hope the women get justice.

I can't believe it's 2026 and a high profile defence lawyer can say shit like this:
"Rapists do not give out their email address. Rapists do not leave their photographs. Rapists do not kiss their victims goodbye."

They do and so do pedophiles.

Apotofrealcoffee · 02/11/2026 18:43

I believe it’s a predominantly male jury too so if it’s guilty verdicts, men cant blame ‘women who always believe women’.

I read it is 8 men.

Ferriswheel101 · 02/11/2026 18:48

Well done to those brave women who gave evidence. I wish you all the very, very best in your lives and the happiness you all so richly deserve. 💛

IzzyLeng · 02/11/2026 18:50

Either I e lost track of time or the trial has gone quicker than what the judge originally told the jury to expect. I seem to recall i wasn’t expecting things to be done and dusted until nearer the end of Nov.

Yeah they said it was much quicker than expected. Probably because Russell brand didn’t have anyone offer to defend him on the stand 😄

TurquoiseDress · 02/11/2026 18:58

I hope that all the women get the justice they deserve 💛

Yes they’d allocated 6 weeks of court time for it.

I think he will walk too.

He’ll be insufferable if he does walk. Hopefully most media type people will realise how difficult it is to secure a rape conviction and still not touch him with a Bargepole.

Tweeply · 02/11/2026 19:10

He's toast

I was thinking this earlier, the amount of women he's going to have worked alongside in the last twenty years, producers, directors, hair & make up, runners, stage managers, floor managers and so on.

And he couldn't find a single one willing to speak in his favour 🤔.

The other high profile case - the celebrity who has claimed he will kill himself if he is outed by the media - the judge will be deciding tomorrow afternoon if the media can proceed or not.

Well done to her! Exactly that!

FedUpFeminist · 02/11/2026 19:35

I can’t believe the defence barrister got away with his stereotypes and outrageous claims - eg RB slept with hundreds but only 3 complained. WTF!! Isn’t one enough!! And Stereotypes of how rape victims respond during and after after a rape, From what I’ve read, I think his summing up smacked of desperation as he had no defence witnesses he could quote. After this is over I’m minded to complain to the Bar Standards Board www.barstandardsboard.org.uk/for-the-public/problems-with-a-barrister/reporting-a-concern.html

The judges summing up tomorrow and legal directions will be key. I’m really hoping there’s a diligent bunch on the jury.

The shit they can say is disgusting. I faced my rapist in court just over two years ago. I was accused of being “a fiesty woman who knows how to stick up for herself” and “wearing clothes that were confusing to men” honestly I came out of that court room furious, I’ve never felt anger like it.
Ge was found not guilty, I should have just stood up there shaking and crying, and behaved more victim for the jury.
Its such an impossible situation to be in, the police and CPS believed the evidence was really strong (injuries and DNA collected by a doctor) he explained this away with.. I was jealous about a holiday and attacked him, the restraint injuries were all the result of him trying to calm me down. The ripped open rectum.. Rough consensual make up sex.. seems likely huh?!?
It’s absurd to me that it’s allowed, no evidence at all that his ridiculous was true but that doesn’t matter as long as it causes doubt for the jury.

“Rapists do not give out their email addresses” “Rapists do not leave their photographs” “Rapists do not kiss their victims goodbye”

Is this guy for real?

Yes these quotes made me so incredibly angry.
I hope a complaint is made about his conduct in this case
He is putting forward so many deeply harmful myths.
