It said that the woman took a handbag into the sentimental items in it? Why would you take a handbag into the sea?

How sad. Perhaps her dad got into trouble and she ran in not thinking of the bag?

Cross body bag I suppose 🤷‍♂️

Just because she went into the sea, doesn't mean she intended to go any deeper than her knees.

Doesn’t say they were swimming, might have been in a kayak or something.

If they have lots of sentimental items in the bag then I would question suicide

Well, there are too many scenarios here aren't there.

It might be that the family know she carried photos or a piece of jewellery with her at all times.

I wondered that, they were father and daughter though, is it likely?

I carry a bag with lots of stuff in it and if I was going in after a family member in trouble I wouldn’t think to take it off.

many drownings are of people who didn’t intend to enter the water.
