Oh god, did she survive? Need to escape this horrible country

IDoHaveACrystalBall · 13/06/2026 08:28

I think it was actually on the BBC last night, but I also think it's one of those stories that will get wiped from the media very quickly

Probably to protect the attacker.

I hope the girl is okay, over as much as can be expected. I was so relieved to see her running away. I mean the fact that she's able to.

Not to protect the attacker. Why would anybody do that? If he's been charged, as he should have been given there's video confirmation of what he did, it will all now be sub judice until the trial. This is standard. Everybody is entitled to a fair trial, no matter how vile their alleged crimes.

As for being wiped from the media, here's the BBC link. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gypqp0rp9o

I'm pleased to see the BBC reports that her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. He has, nevertheless, been charged with attempted murder. Good. This could have been another fatality.

It's not just this country though, is it. But it does seem like incidents like this are on the rise...that poor girl! A quick Google tells me her injuries were not life-threatening thank God and the attacker has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

IDoHaveACrystalBall · 13/06/2026 08:38

@Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g he's been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder he hasn't been charged yet not that we know of anyway

He's probably being allowed to choose his food in the police kitchen

I have a feeling this is another one that will get put down to mental health - obviously from an individual point of view if that's what it is, that's what it is.

what a week for the country.

IDoHaveACrystalBall · 13/06/2026 08:39

And other European countries of course

It's been the same for a long time, but now it's every fucking day

A 20 sentence report, thats been stuck in the 'local news' section and you have to search for it

A child being stabbed in the neck would have been front page news 15 years ago.

It should be front page news!!

I’ve seen the video and reports from locals.on Facebook. Glad to see she ran away, maybe physically not life threatening injuries but what about psychological damage?

Wonder what his motives were, one can only guess

WestwardHo1 · 13/06/2026 09:42

She looked him funny. She wouldn't sleep with him. She said "stop following me".

Given the nature of these fucking men, it could be anything.

However NAMALT that so we should shut up.

No, it would not have been front page news 10 years ago. There were around 100 knife crimes a day in 2016. A non-fatal stabbing is not front page news. Even a fatal stabbing is not always front page news.
