We are off to Bergen, Norway in a couple of weeks.. Does anyone know how the hotel/restaurant workers strike is going on? Does anyone have any advice on where to eat that will be open?

Just left Norway, it was still going on.
Some places are open, but not everywhere.

I was there last Tuesday. In my hotel, the lobby bar was closed but we were allowed to buy a bottle of wine and take it up to our room. We still went out for dinner just fine.

I’m there in 2 weeks too, have reservations with breakfast so I hope they honour them

I hope it's over by then! I've heard most hotels that are still open are serving breakfast just not evening meals. thankfully the one we are staying is open... some have closed all together. I'm arriving quite late and wondering if even the airports will be open to grab food.. then there is Sunday where most things are closed. I guess places like museums...

Oh, I hadn’t heard about this. My brother is in Bergen now with his family and they haven’t mentioned anything. I think they are probably staying in an Airbnb though.

that's great to know, thank you! Currently the bar is open but the restaurant is closed where we are staying.

I hope he is having a wonderful time. Airbnb sounds like it should be safe with self catering... I guess find one of the supermarkets and stock up is a safe bet!

I hope you had a lovely time. Do you know what places were closed? was it little cafes too or just the hotels? the info I'm finding online is conflicting :(
