Is anyone else thinking that America would be very happy to split all the countries across the world between America, China and Russia given the opportunity?

I’m listening to the latest podcast on Triggernometry where they are discussing the Iran war with a military expert, who believes it will fail, and I was pondering the recent news articles where Trump was mocking our military hardware and making us sound like absolute chumps.

I was pondering how any of that was helpful to America long-term. Denigrating Europe in the way that he does, and saying that we have in essence become failed countries. I was further pondering how the hell he was going to try and save face with the appalling mess he has made of the Iran conflict so far where it looks as though he is further falling out with allies and making no headway.

Then it struck me that he is trying to acquire land. He wants Canada and obviously Greenland. He hates the amount of immigration what’s happened in Europe and the dilution of Christianity. He considers Islam a threat, and considers the rise of Islam in Europe a direct threat to America. Wouldn’t it suit him to hand Europe over to Russia, America to lay claim to Canada, Mexico, Greenland and obviously the closer countries he is currently meddling with and China takes Asia and Africa?

I keep hearing news about a New World Order and he obviously doesn’t want to defend Europe anymore. I know China and Russia are communist countries which I’m assuming is the main deterrent to my musing, but I was wondering if anyone had thought about this and had modelled it mentally.

Russia is not remotely capable of taking over Western Europe but is heavily investing in an internet narrative that supposes it could.

It could not. Russia cannot even take Ukraine. Its economy is smaller than a single EU member state.

Just because propagandists say things on podcasts doesn't make them true or even plausible.

I agree @Welia - but I do think Trump is enamoured with dictators and I also half heartedly think he often behaves like a Russian asset. It feels like Putin has some sort of control over Trump. A main aim of Putin's is to destroy NATO And he's had some help recently from Trump!

Trump can hand Europe to Russia all day long and will probably try to do this at some point for clicks and giggles.

But it isn't actually in his power to do this. He isn't a god and he doesn't run the world. He is a temporary leader of a currently powerful country. All these states are contingent and transient. Just because he writes something on his website doesn't mean we all have to do it.

We should know ourselves how quickly an empire can crumble.

That’s what I was thinking. Taking over land is one thing, it’s keeping control long term that’s the problem.

Trump can go fuck himself with his own aircraft carrier as far as I'm concerned. Judging by the way he talks out of it, his arsehole is more than big enough.

And please don't confuse the ravings of one nutjob with the people of the USA as a whole.
