so the opposition have been banned from campaigning, and aid agencies have been banned from distributing aid. mugabi might as well just drop a bomb on it and wipe out the population. At least it would be a shorter death than the one he's setting them up for.

I have no idea why the bastard isn't enduring assassination attempts daily

wannaBe · 06/06/2008 22:31

quite. It would be a great service to society if he were to meet an unfortunate end.

but he will win the next election because now the voters won't dare to vote for the opposition. And no-one else will intervene, especially South Africa because they currently have their own issues.

Well I know it doesn't sound very christian but I often wondered just how hard it could be to put a bullet in that man but the problem is getting near him.

Aparently, you get shot dead by his bodyguards just for driving past his house.

What annoys me is that the rest of Africa could do something but don't. Zimbabwe was the breadbasket of Africa when he came to power. A rich, prosperous, self sufficient nation.

I hope there is a hell.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 06/06/2008 22:37

Well, what choice is there?

Another 'Iraq'?

wannaBe · 06/06/2008 22:38

surely they could have got him last week when he went to the UN food aid convention? would have been the perfect opportunity to arrest him and tuck him away in some international prison somewhere where he could wrot for the next few years until he meets his timely end.

The rest of Africa isn't interested.

And truth be told there's a lot of speculation that South Africa will be the next Zimbabwe

I was so upset watching the news tonight. Mugabe is evill.

He is starving children and the opposition. There must be something the UK can do politically. It would be a humanitarian move. And a pro democracy move. Oh but only countries with oil get that sort of attention.

He is the most disgusting creature, committing genocide under our very noses. Those poor poor people. Morgan Tsvangirai is a very brave man to keep on campaigning in the face of such brutality.

When he dies, his henchmen must know that they will face trial for all their crimes done in his name. Until he dies, nobody is going to do jack diddly squat.

Please please go onto the Government Petitions site and search under Robert Mugabe and add your name to all the petitions there.

vvv I'm not sure we should really get involved, but it's tragic to see what is happening too the people in that country.

Surely to stand by and watch is nearly as bad?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 06/06/2008 22:44

Oh I know.

Damned if we do, and damned if we dont.

I dont know how he has managed to get away with it for so long.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 06/06/2008 22:45

How many good leaders have been assassinated? How is it all the evil ones escape?

wannaBe · 06/06/2008 22:47

I have a friend in SA who says the news there is reporting that the Zimbabwean people want Mugabi out but they don't want Morgan Tsvangirai either.

I don't know what the answer is really. If we get involved we too are interfeering with the democratic process aren't we?

as far as im concerned we should have been going into Zimbabwe before we were tearing Iraq to shreds, its an adbomination. Its also a mystery to me how noone has shot him and how they allow that bastard to go to the UN conference?? all he was doing was embarrasing them and showing up the UN and pretty much sticking two fingers up at them, they should be ashamed of themselves. What is happening in Zimbabwe is genocide, and more to the point China are supplying the arms to Mugabe as low and behold it all comes down to oil, er someone sort it out! Immoral shits.
Get off your lazy arses and get into Zimbabwe (just incase you're reading this - likely )

WinkyWinkola · 07/06/2008 06:31

There is no democratic process to be interfered with, Wannabe. One needs to be created.

Robert Mugabe is showing everyone what a toothless old creature (pointless?) the UN really is.
