It’s all really distressing.
The epicentre of Sudan’s violence is in the central area of one of the largest countries in Africa, (5000 times bigger than Gaza). The unreliable power, internet and transport infrastructure are barriers to reporting, as well as the obvious risk to life.
Some of the reports about Gaza are made from Egypt or Israel, looking in. It is surprising when you visit the region how close together the borders are.
I’m humbled by the bravery of reporters who risk their lives to present the unvarnished truth to the world.
