Erin Patterson has been found guilty of poisoning her ex husband’s relatives. I always thought she was guilty, she deserves to be punished for her crimes.

I felt the defense team did a good job to try convince the jury of reasonable doubt.
May those who tragically passed rest now.

I genuinely don't know if she was guilty or not, I was aware of the trial but hadn't followed it closely. One item did stand out for me in an article I read the other day where to spoke about the facts that dammed her. One being that she served her guests meals on larger matching plates while she used a small different coloured plate for herself. She had 4 guests I believe and often China comes in sets of 4. I only have 4 matching plates and if I were entertaining more than 4 I would give my guests the matching plates and I'd use one of my old mismatched ones. Gave me pause to think that such a detail could be damning in other circumstances. I do think their were other details which condemned her but still.

@yelladusterThere were numerous other lies she told but in relation to the plates it appears the ones she used have never been found. Also new information not heard at the trial showed her going to the tip 30 mins after her guests left the fatal meal dumping various bags and boxes so very likely the missing plates. Also puts paid to the lie that she survived the poisoning because she ate all the cake her MIL had left and then vomited it all back due to the bikini a no one was ever aware she had. If she did that after the tip trip, which she never mentioned, she couldn’t try and say she didn’t have time to injest the poison which was her excuse for surviving the poisoning.

@CalamityGanon I wasn't saying she didn't do it, as I said I didn't follow the trial closely that was just the details I read in one article this week about it. The plate details which they said in the article was one of the things that convinced people she was guilty seemed like a reasonable thing to do. That was all I was commenting on.

I don’t see what her motive was but I do think she is guilty

Gastons5dozenEggs · 09/07/2025 14:20

The found evidence of the poisonous mushrooms in the dehydrator that she randomly took to the tip even though she hadn't owned it long

CalamityGanon · 09/07/2025 14:51

@yelladusterBut it was odd for Erin and was commented on and the fact she had a non matching plate by one of the guests before she died. If you came to my house it would be odd to get a matching plate and would be commented on if you did 😂

I read the doctors statement who called the police and let them know of his suspicions. He said she never checked on her exh’s relatives when she was in hospital. She also told the doctor she doesnt want to bring her kids in to be monitored so they don’t get scared.

She also went to a&e and then left against the doctors wishes. The doctor contacted police and police was on their way home but when police arrived she wasn’t there and she went back to hospital.
