Why did you pull the Christian Bruckner thread?

I think MM threads get pulled as a matter of course for litigation reasons.

I had a look at it yesterday and several posts were heading towards discussion of the family/blame rather than him.

Because any mention of MM brings out the conspiracy nuts and parent blazers

Chances are, this TATT will probably get pulled soon

Or because starting a thread saying it's clear he did it & why can cause a trial to collapse in multiple countries' legal systems.

I would imagine it’s because it’s an ongoing trial. They won’t allow anything where it could influence the outcome (of any trial / ongoing legal issue, not just this one).

We withdrew that thread as per the OP's request - we agreed that it was no longer helping anyone due to the derailing and posts breaking talk guidelines. However please feel free to start your own thread - we have no issue with this being discussed.

I'm not surprised the OP asked for it to be withdrawn. As is common with threads on this subject, it had been joined by people who are convinced the parents killed Madeleine or are implicated in some way and who were pushing some of the many myths that have grown up around this case. My own contributions to the thread were attempting to correct one of those myths.

I'd be interested to know why the German police have started to search again. Do they have new information? Has a witness come forward? Or it is speculative and because CB is due to released from jail in September?
