Uk terror attack foiled hours before it happened

I wonder what they were planning to attack.

It’s funny because people on the Manchester Reddit thread have been saying for the last week that the SAS were in town and were up to something. And they were obviously right. There’s been random people posting videos of unlit helicopters flying round the city centre in the small hours and people who I guess know their helicopters were saying that’s a x model and it’s only the SAS that use them. Then someone else posted a video of two helicopters hovering round the back of Tesco and guys rappelling down ropes out the helicopters. And I saw the video of the arrest of the Iranian 2 days ago on Reddit, way before this was released in the news. People on the thread were saying he was Iranian. Dont need the news channels these days! All goes on in Manchester!

I have no idea about all the Manchester stuff but it would be interesting to know what they were going to target. If it were a synagogue it would make more sense to attack on a Saturday. Some places are starting their VE celebrations today?

I'm sure I read it was a Lady Gaga concert but can't find it now. Absolutely terrifying that this was planned but great that it's been foiled.

Yes there was a planned attack on her Rio gig but they caught the people thank goodness.

But that was not related to this planned UK attack.

News is now saying the attack was planned for a synagogue. Think the arrests were on saturday? So yes, maybe they swooped in and got them just before.

Oh, that makes sense. I had been under the (false) impression that the men in London were arrested on Saturday and the others on Sunday morning, but if they were hours away from an attack early on Saturday morning I would bet the target was a synagogue.

Poland doesn't have these problems, wonder why.......
