"Mr Bigby was one of 10 defendants charged with the rape of a 16-year-old girl and causing grievous bodily harm, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has confirmed.
The teenage girl was attacked in north London in January.
In a separate case, he was due to go on trial in June for wounding with intent and violent disorder, over a stabbing in October 2006 in north London, the CPS said."
I remember the story about the rape and it really upset me at the time, as it was such a horrendous attack where they also threw acid over the girl.
I am very surprised to say the least that this man wasn't being held in custody while he waited for his trials, as to me he sounds dangerous, particularly to women. I know he was innocent until proven guilty but still I thought for serious crimes people were held on remand?
Does anyone else share this view/ know why someone like this is out on the streets? I feel a lot less safe now than I did this morning...
