I had this and three days after being diagnosed dts (now 6 yo) were born by emergency c-section.

It does seem that with conditions like this there hasn't been anything really done to research and treat it. A step in the right direction.

I had it too, along with two of my friends - even the Drs at the hospital couldn't seem to agree on causes or diagnosis, so it's nice to see that there are people out there trying to solve the riddle!

I spent 7 weeks in hospital with this before my ds was born. While I was there a baby was still born at 32 weeks because of it, so i do hope they come up with an answer.

My first son was stillborn because I had pre-eclampsia and I was very ill with it

My second son was born 7 weeks prematurely because I developed it again, but because I was monitored very closely, they acted as soon as I showed signs of PE.

I took aspirin daily with my second son, but I don't know how effective it was.

I didn't develop PE with my last 2 sons, but fully expected to. I feel it may have been due to the fact that they were born 9 and 11 yrs after my second son. I don't know.

I had it too, with ds1, it giot to the stage where i was fitting as my symptoms developed atypuically and weren't picked up; ds1 suffered iugr and i do not know if it contributed to his disability

my sister had her ds prematurely and suffered kidney damage; other sis developed it but went into labour naturally (was her due date) sowas lucky

mum lost 4 babies through stillbirth with no reason; looking at the history we suspect PET. mil also spent 3 months hospitalised with bil

horrible, nasty illness
