Mines done via E consult. I filled one in on Tuesday regarding my mental health and within about 10 mins I had someone phone me back, to get me in to see a dr that afternoon and by around 6:30 that night I was in the hands of the crisis team

If can get one same day but they ask what it is and receptionist decides . If not urgent then about 2 weeks longer if you want a certain gp then up to a month

The receptionist decides; isn’t that scary?
Years ago I went to the doctors because I had a head pain that wasn’t that bad, but had lasted a long time. He sent me to hospital and it was temporal arteritis which can cause strokes/blindness.
An untrained receptionist might have thought it was just a bit of a headache and I just needed a couple of paracetamol.
