Getting pissed in front of your kids

I've got a friend who will never touch a drop even in her own home because she worries she won't be able to drive them to hospital if one of them had an accident.

Would you?

pissed - no
more than 1 glass, so unable to drive - yes, evenings, occasional sunny weekend afternoons...
but there are ambulances, taxis, friends I could call on in an emergency.

At home, we both have the odd drink after DD is in bed.

Out, one of us will drink, the other will stay sober. If during the day, one might have a stubby.

We would not go out with DD and both of us drink alcohol.

Unable to drive - most evenings tbh!

Falling down pissed? No.

Drink when in house on my own with DS - yes. A glass or two.

I too figure i can always all on a taxi!

I was at a hotel in Magaluf once and there were always loads of kids wandering around the foyer and bars etc in the evening, kids as young as four.

And when me and dp asked where their parents were they said: "Out in town."

So they'd buggered off to get pissed - just NOT in front of their kids!
