DH is peeing himself laughing that it was franco who nobbled it for him.

Tinker · 06/05/2008 22:27

This is a brilliant story . His little dance on his heels is fantastic

UnquietDad · 07/05/2008 09:33

I think Gina G was robbed in '96 too. Not that I expect Franco had anything to do with it.

Ledodgy · 07/05/2008 09:37

'OOh Ahh just a little bit' UQD

fryalot · 07/05/2008 09:41

I thought Gina G was going to win it as well

It's been a source of misery for me for several years that she didn't clinch the title.

Now I know that nobbling goes on at this previously thought of as "incorruptible" event, I shall rest easier knowing that in actual fact, Gina G should have won, and twas, if not franco, some other dictator who scuppered her chances.

Couldn't give a flying feck about sir cliff though

Bloody fascists... if they're not invading other countries and killing people, they're standing in the path of the divine righteousness of Sir Cliff.

Hanging's too good for them...

PuppyMonkey · 08/05/2008 12:08

Makes you wonder what happend with Sonia. And Michael Ball.

And Love City Groove.

Oh, no, I know what happened there. They were shite.

SidSnotPunkRocker · 08/05/2008 12:16

Sonia's career path took a downward turn when she went against her business manager's advice to cover all of Tina Charles's hits. Needless to say where is she now?

PuppyMonkey · 08/05/2008 12:19

Love City Groove! Brilliant . Wasn't that the first ever rap one?

Poor old Cliff. Robbed him of any chance of a singing career and he sank into drunken obscurity. I feel sooooooooooooooooo sorry for him.

Who cares? The Euro Song thing is total crap.

PuppyMonkey · 08/05/2008 12:24

yes, Barnstaple. Total crap.

Good though!

if ever there were a clear case of Eurovision nobbling, surely twas Gemini?

I mean someone made their equipment fail so they sounded flat and tuneless, someone caused their ridicule and someone should pay

UnquietDad · 08/05/2008 12:28

This year's entry is awful.

I've heard it about 3 times and I still can't remember how it goes.

They should have picked The Revelations!

fryalot · 08/05/2008 12:30

Is it as bad as last year's effort?

now there's someone who definitely was not robbed of a victory

PuppyMonkey · 08/05/2008 12:31

I still reckon Morrissey would do it if we all asked him really nicely.

Hopefully he'll re-release it just before Christmas.

DaDaDa · 08/05/2008 14:00

Best Eurovision winner? Surely it has to be Herreys: Diggiloo Diggiley

Man, those boys knew how to rock.

barnstaple · 09/05/2008 11:30

Just seen the Herreys. Perfect Eurocrap. Nice clean-cut young guys in white trousers and silver high heels - guaranteed to catch the 6yo audience. Am tempted to download it for (8yo) dd but if she liked it dh would drown her.
