What a truly horrific story. That poor, poor little boy. Did anyone else notice that the 40 year old man's father, who lived with them, was only 55 himself?

ViolinSpin · 09/01/2025 18:28

That poor poor baby and goodness knows what befell his sister. I had to stop reading it is awful. RIP.

I think that’s her father not his

ramonaquimby · 09/01/2025 18:30

Why would you link to such a horrific story? (Despite the warning)

I think they have the death penalty is Alabama pity the jury on that

I am usually in the camp of "two wrongs don't make a right" and all that, but I would happily volunteer to sit on the jury and find them guilty. Especially if I knew they would get the death penalty. Actually, there should be a punishment for these kinds of crimes of being put into a room with a group of mums and some baseball bats. I'd volunteer for that.

AchillesAndPatroclus · 09/01/2025 18:43

I’ve just read about this and can’t even picture how or why the poor child was “hanging by a rope”.

I’m also wondering if he crashed the car deliberately in an attempt to end them all together, knowing they wouldn’t be able to get away with the murder.

dothehokeycokey · 09/01/2025 18:45

My god what have I just read Shock

I'm speechless as to how women can allow this to happen to their children I really can't understand it.

It goes against every maternal instinct in the body and brain ffs

I really hope they both suffer really badly in prison before a slow and very painful death by the state of Alabama

Fuck me this is just horrific

soupfiend · 09/01/2025 18:48

Someone will portray her as a victim wont they, under his control etc etc.

She had 2 children by him and should have been their protector

I wonder what was happening to the other child, she was older, why would only a younger child be abused? It does happen sometimes that one child is scapegoated and the other left alone but usually there is widespread abuse

take it as a sign you shouldn’t read it, as once you do, you’ll wish you hadn’t.

Absolutely disgusting creatures, God bless his little soul

Craftymam · 09/01/2025 18:52

Omg

ChampagneLassie · 09/01/2025 18:52

I feel incidents like this are the result of a country which makes birth control and abortion expensive and in some cases illegal resulting in people in the worst positions having unwanted children. Compounded by lack of social care infrastructure to support or help the children. The joke that the religious right seems to care more about unborn children than living ones. Disgusting that the wealthiest country in the world allows this to happen

soupfiend · 09/01/2025 18:58

Parents dont kill children and abuse them because they otherwise would have had an abortion. Plenty of parents abuse, mistreat and neglect their kids while feeling that they/claiming to love them.

Who on earth knows what was the justification for her behaviour. I hadnt realised the dad sent a text saying he was going to kill the child. Unreal, what on earth goes on in these peoples minds

I suspect as someone says above, the car crash was intended to kill them all, annihilator.

That’s what I thought when I read it. Humans really are depraved animals at times

Please don’t compare them to animals. Animals would never do impose such cruelty on their children.

Lwrenn · 09/01/2025 19:06

Fuck me.

@ChampagneLassie i agree with everything you have said. I do wonder however if child abuse is at its height these days or are we just far more aware of it in the rise of the things such as tiktok and other social media and the rise of interest in true crime.
I just feel each time I pick my phone up there is a new horrific story involving children being reported on.

soupfiend · 09/01/2025 19:06

To be pedantic, animals regularly eat their own offspring and throw them out of nests and dens etc

We like to think humans are better of course.

PinkiOcelot · 09/01/2025 19:25

Can’t believe what I’ve just read. Horrendous.

DaisyRae · 09/01/2025 19:25

That's the worst thing I've ever read.

Can someone link or paste a version without ten million ads so the Daily Mail isn't profiting from this child abuse case please.

Edited

Stop with the virtue signalling, any newspaper that has this story will be profiting from it!

Wonderi · 09/01/2025 19:30

I just don’t understand it.

So he texted her with a photo of the boy hanging saying that hes not moving and her reply was he’s probably just tired??

Even if you didn’t care you would ask if he’s breathing or panic about it.

Unless her message was am attempt of a cover up.

But why were photos taken anyway.

And that was after he texted her saying he was going to kill him

And thats his own son, unless he thought it wasnt his son

I think you can assume her IQ is miniscule. Plus she’s 22 and he was 40, there’s something unhealthy about the whole set up.

Her response suggested to me that this wasn't a one off.

The death penalty is too good for her.

Kibble29 · 09/01/2025 19:40

“The death penalty is barbaric.”

”capital punishment makes us as bad as them”

”rehabilitation is possible”

“What about false convictions?”

Does the usual bullshit apply to this creature?

Put her fucking down.
