I'm really surprised. I thought they'd ride this out. I wonder whose decision this was.

I was more surprised when it was announced that Gray was to be Starmer's chief of staff, considering she came to public prominence when she lead the report into Partygate, etc.

She's apparently going to be his 'envoy to nations and regions' next.
