Doctor attacked himself to frame patient

A NHS GP was investigated by GMC for using £44k of his personal money to treat a patient, he asked the patient to sign a disclaimer to prevent them from taking legal action, then apparently attacked himself and blamed the patient. All this in an attempt to remove this patient from his books apparently.

It’s a strange one to say the least

Yes, seen this the other day.

There’s lots to this story. There was the 44k spent on rehab plus another 10k if the patient moved GPs.

There was some sort of contract they had drawn up because the patient was blackmailing him over malpractice or something.

Beyond weird.

Actually felt sorry for the GP. How desperate must you be to do that

Why did the dr initially lie to the patient telling him he was dying of blood cancer. Bizarre.
