ffs i get they might not get enough calories if they eat 5 adult portions of f&v but i give dc small portios of a variety of foods healthy and non healthy.
next they will tell us they sleep too much !!!!

I think it's quite a simple message really - children are different to adults so what's healthy for us isn't for them. They are growing - and growing faster as babies and toddlers than at any other stage of life.

Agree with Edam.

It's not new anyway. Young children need a diet higher in fat etc than adults and that advice hasn't changed in years (although agree if some nurseries aren't heeding this then it needs higlighting)
